2.5 TDI 110 kW

The new large diesel that Audi introduced in 1997 was another milestone – the world’s first TDI with a V6 layout and four valves per cylinder. Advanced technical features included swirl-action and tangential inlet ports and a radial piston injection pump capable of building up a maximum pressure of 1,500 bar. This V6 TDI, with a capacity of 2.5 liters, developed 110 kW (150 hp); its maximum torque, reached between 1,400 and 3,200 rpm, was 310 Nm (228.64 lb-ft). In this engine’s final evolution stage its power output rose to 132 kW (180 hp). The V6 TDI was installed in the A4, A6, allroad and A8.
